Brooke Henderson is a Professional Golfer on the LPGA Tour.
With a total of five LGPA wins as of 2017, Brooke is the second among Canadians with LGPA victories.
Brooke was named the Canadian Press female athlete of the year in both 2015 and 2017. Before her 20th birthday in 2017, Brooke had already won back-to-back LPGA tournaments at the Portland Cambria Classic, and had taken champions honours at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Brooke has quickly become the Golden Girl of Golf.
In 2016, Brooke won her first major at the age of 18 at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, becoming the event's youngest to win that major and the first Canadian to win a major in 48 years. This win also moved her to second in the world rankings.
In August of 2015, after Monday-qualifying for the Cambia Portland Classic, Brooke won by 8 strokes, becoming the third youngest winner on the tour and only the second Monday qualifier to win on Tour. After this incredible feat, Brooke was granted immediate membership to the LPGA Tour.
Brooke turned professional in 2014, and set a tournament record with her 36-hole score at the LGPA Tour's Swinging Skirts LGPA Classic.
In 2013, Brooke won the Canadian Women’s Amateur and finished runner-up at the US Women’s Amateur. Concluding her amateur career, Brooke finished tied for 10th place at the US Women’s Open. She was just 16 years old and was the top-ranked amateur female golfer in the world.
